From the depths inside the soil
Weaving your poetry
While condemned to this mortal coil
You taste of ashes
Ashes that were once your heart
You took this passion
And then you slowly ripped it apart
Why did you dare to fly into my thoughts
With nothing to prove about who you are
I always knew about this secret war
The blood on her lips made you feel alive
The cross you bear made you die inside
Confusion that reigns in the land of forgotten
Has found his way back into your mind
You never wanted to be one of the ash people
You never wanted to be...
So take my hand
And set your feet on the ground
Lend me the words
Those that never made a sound
But god has forsaken you in your eyes
Faith only gave you a new pair of lies
When you belief you belong to the shadows
Memories are left to burn out and die
You never wanted to be one of the mass people
If you could only remember how to be free
You're like a diary
With the paged folded but never turned
Every line tells a story
But you never wrote a word
I can always read you
I can never tell the world
So you pretend I know nothing
I pretend I never once yearned
For this
You scratch the colours out of the light
When they remind you of how you died
As you whispered your litanies to erase forever
You gave your heart back to the night
Vanished into the breath of a single sigh
You have left me to protect your lies
So you can turn everything back into nothing
But this reminder leaves you undenied

When I say my soul loves you
It means you are a part of me
And I know you, know you well
The person you used to be
I want to reach your mind
From the other side of the mirror
But you have painted a line
Between the present and before
thx, for the fav.
